Sharp Repair in University City, NC

About Sharp Appliances

Sharp is a Japanese electronics company that began in 1912 and took its name from an early mechanical pencil, the Ever-Sharp. It was an early force in home microwave ovens and is best known in American kitchens for its microwave drawers, over-the-range and countertop microwaves, alongside a newer line of full-size refrigerators. On Sharp microwaves we discharge and test the high-voltage section, door or drawer interlocks and drive mechanisms in a set order, since several faults can produce the same dead or no-heat symptom. On Sharp refrigerators we confirm model and parts support first, because the North American refrigerator line is newer and some components come through a narrower channel.

Where Sharp equipment tends to need service

• Microwave drawer motor and gear failures
• Door and drawer interlock switch faults
• Magnetron failure causing no heat
• Touch panels unresponsive or partly dead
• Refrigerator defrost and ice maker faults
