Appliance Repair,
Done the Straightforward Way
ProFix Appliance Repair Charlotte fixes the refrigerators, washers, dryers, dishwashers and cooking appliances that households across the Charlotte region depend on every day.
Who We Are
We are an in-home appliance repair service for homeowners, renters, landlords and property managers, with some light commercial work as well. Our focus is the kitchen and the laundry room: refrigerators, freezers, ice makers, wine coolers, washers, dryers, dishwashers, ovens, ranges, cooktops and microwaves, on all major brands.
The idea behind the business is simple. When an appliance quits, you want someone who shows up when they say they will, figures out what is actually wrong, tells you the price before touching anything, and leaves the machine working. That is the job, and it is the standard we hold ourselves to.
Appliances here deal with a particular set of conditions: long, humid summers, heavy spring pollen, garages that bake in July, and thunderstorms and ice storms that knock out power. Knowing how those conditions wear on a refrigerator, a dryer vent or a control board helps us find the real cause rather than just the failed part.
Repair or Replace? An Honest Answer
We make our living fixing appliances, but we do not believe in repairs that do not make sense. The right call depends on how old the appliance is, what failed, the condition of everything else, and what a comparable new model would cost you.
A worn pump, belt, igniter, gasket or sensor on an otherwise sound machine is usually worth fixing. A major failure, like a sealed-system problem on an older budget refrigerator, can eat up a large share of what a new unit costs. In that case we will lay out the numbers and let you decide, with no pressure either way.
And if your appliance is still covered by its manufacturer's warranty, we will tell you, because that may be the better route.
How We Work
The principles behind every visit, whatever the appliance.
Find the Cause
A part that failed usually failed for a reason. We look for what wore it out, such as a clogged coil, a kinked vent or a weak water supply, so the new part is not the next thing to go.
Price Before Work
You hear what is wrong and what the repair costs before anything is replaced. Whether to go ahead is entirely your call.
Treat the Home Carefully
Appliances are moved with care, the space around them is respected, and the work area is left tidy when the visit is over.
Stand Behind the Repair
Our repairs carry a 90-day parts and 30-day labor warranty. If the repair gives you trouble inside that window, call us and we will come back to look at it.
How Our Technicians Work
What you can expect from the person who comes to your door.
Listen first
The technician starts by asking what you have noticed: noises, smells, error messages, when it started. Owners often spot the clue that shortens the diagnosis.
Test, then explain
Components are checked with meters and the appliance's own test modes where it has them. You get a plain explanation of what failed, without jargon or pressure.
Tell you about other options
If the appliance is still under its manufacturer's warranty, the technician will say so, because that route may cost you less. If replacement makes more sense than repair, you will hear that too.
Work safely
Power and water are shut off before panels come off, and gas appliances are handled with care. Sealed refrigerant systems and gas connections are never treated casually.
