The part of Stanly County we serve
ProFix Appliance Repair Charlotte works in western Stanly County only. That means Locust (28097), Stanfield (28163) and Oakboro (28129), the towns along and near NC-24/27 on the Cabarrus County side. We do not serve Albemarle, Norwood, Richfield, New London or the eastern parts of the county around the Uwharrie lakes.
We draw that line because these three towns are the ones our routes can reach reliably from Midland and the Charlotte side. If your address is farther east, a local company will get to you faster. If you are in one of the three western ZIP codes, the Locust, Stanfield and Oakboro area page goes into more detail.
Homes in western Stanly and what they mean for repairs
Locust has grown quickly as people move east from Charlotte along NC-24/27, so it has a good share of newer subdivision homes alongside older houses near the highway. Stanfield and Oakboro are smaller towns surrounded by farmland, and many homes outside the town centers sit on larger rural lots, some of them older farmhouses and manufactured homes.
A lot of those rural homes are on private wells. Well water often carries sediment, and in some places iron, which can clog the inlet screens on washers and dishwashers, wear out refrigerator water valves and stain tubs and racks. Older farmhouses may also have tight laundry spaces, dated wiring or long dryer vent runs that matter when we diagnose a problem.
Scheduling at the edge of our service area
Western Stanly County is at the outer edge of where we work. Appointments here may be scheduled in route blocks on certain days rather than same-day, so a technician can see several customers in the area on one trip. We will tell you the options when you call or book, and same-day is sometimes possible when a technician is already nearby.
To make a single trip count, have the appliance's model and serial number ready if you can find the label, and describe the symptoms in as much detail as you can. That helps us bring likely parts. If a part still has to be ordered, you will know before we leave, along with the price.
Repairs that make sense out here
Many households in rural Stanly County keep a chest freezer or a second refrigerator full of meat, garden produce or bulk groceries, often in a garage, shed or utility room. When one of those quits in July, it is urgent. Start by checking that the outlet has power and the unit is not tripping a GFCI, then keep the lid or door closed while you wait for us.
A freezer or older refrigerator with a failed start relay, defrost part or fan motor is usually worth repairing. A sealed-system failure on an older unit can cost a large share of a replacement, and we will tell you that plainly. Every repair carries our 90-day parts and 30-day labor warranty, and we work on all major brands.
Neighboring areas on the same side of our map
The western Stanly towns share routes with the Cabarrus County areas just next door. Midland is immediately west of Locust along NC-24/27, and Mount Pleasant lies to the north. Union County sits to the south and southwest, and we serve Monroe, Wingate and Marshville there, while Anson County's Peachland and Polkton are also on our list.
If you have a family member or a rental house in one of those places, mention it when you book. A technician working Midland or Mount Pleasant on a given day can sometimes fit in a stop in Locust or Stanfield, which can shorten the wait for everyone on that side of the map.
