Why can't my Insignia wine cooler get cold enough in summer?

If it is a thermoelectric model, it can only cool a limited amount below the room temperature. A hot room in July can exceed what the module can handle. A compressor model or a cooler location may be needed, though we also check the fans and seal.

My built-in wine cooler in our Fort Mill kitchen is warm but the light works. What's likely wrong?

A blocked front grille, a failed condenser or evaporator fan, or a faulty temperature sensor are the usual suspects. Clear and vacuum the grille with the unit unplugged first. If it still runs warm, we test the fans and controls and give you the price before repairing.

Is it worth repairing an indoor wine cooler that was moved out to our Tega Cay porch?
