The burner cap is likely tilted, or food has clogged some of the burner ports. Turn off the stove, let it cool, clear the ports with a pin and reseat the cap firmly. If the flame stays uneven, the burner head may be damaged.

Samsung Stoves: What We Check First

Samsung's gas stoves often include a high-output power burner and a simmer burner, and many electric models use front-mounted knobs. The surface is where most daily wear happens, so it is where most service calls start.

Freestanding Stoves in Older Homes

A freestanding stove is what many NoDa cottages and Plaza Midwood bungalows cook on, fueled either by gas or by electricity through coil burners.
