The burners on my Thor dual-fuel range work but the oven won't heat. Why?

The oven runs on electricity, so it can fail independently of the gas cooktop. A partly tripped breaker, a burned-out element or a failed control relay are the most likely causes. Reset the breaker fully, and if the oven stays cold, the elements and board need testing.

Our range's touch panel stopped working after a storm in West Charlotte. Is it the board?

It may be. Try a breaker reset first, since electronics sometimes lock up after power flickers. If the panel stays dead, the control board, touch membrane or power supply could be damaged, and we test those before recommending a part.

Thor Ranges: What We Check First

Thor's dual-fuel ranges pair gas burners on top with an electric convection oven below, so the range needs both a gas line and a 240-volt circuit. The brand also sells electric and induction ranges in the same pro-style shell. That split matters for diagnosis, because a dual-fuel Thor can have a perfectly healthy cooktop and a dead oven, or the other way around, and the two halves fail for completely different reasons.
