Small coolers, specific problems

A beverage cooler under a remodeled counter or a freestanding wine fridge in a den runs a small cooling system with little margin. Dust on the front grille, a door that does not latch, or a spot next to the oven or a sunny window can be enough to push the temperature up. Freestanding models tucked into a cabinet without the right clearance are a common cause of trouble.

Clean the vent grille, confirm the door closes evenly, and move the cooler away from heat sources if you can.
