They have a glass tray or flat floor, sensor cooking programs and, on many models, M Touch controls. Because they are installed in cabinetry and match other Miele appliances, replacing one is rarely a simple swap. Built-in microwaves after rural power trouble

Microwaves rely on electronic controls, and the surges that can follow a rural outage are hard on them. A microwave that shows a blank display, beeps but will not start, or runs without heating after a storm may have a blown internal fuse, a failed door switch or a damaged board.
