Dual-fuel and slide-in ranges
A dual-fuel range uses gas burners on top and an electric oven below, so it needs both a gas line and a 240-volt circuit. A fault on one side does not condemn the other. If the oven stops heating after a storm while the burners still light, start by switching the range's breaker off for a few minutes and back on.
Slide-in ranges fit tightly between cabinets, and reaching the wiring, gas connection or anti-tip bracket means sliding the range out.
