Bosch Dryers: What We Check First

A Bosch dryer is almost always a compact 24-inch model, and many are ventless. A condensation dryer heats air, passes it through the clothes, then cools it across a condenser so the moisture turns into water that drains into a container or a hose. A heat-pump model does the same with a small refrigeration loop instead of an electric heater. Vented Bosch compact dryers exist as well, but the ventless units are what make condo installations possible.

Vents under older houses

In many of Lancaster's older homes, the dryer vent drops through the floor and runs across the crawl space to an outside wall. Those are ordinary parts, and the repair is often quicker than on a newer, computerized model.
