Second Freezers in Hot Utility Spaces

A chest or upright freezer is common in ranch homes here, usually placed in a carport storage room, utility room or garage because the kitchen has no space. Those spaces are not cooled, and in the hottest weeks of summer, many freezers run nonstop or slowly lose temperature because they are built for a limited range of surrounding heat.
