Is it worth replacing the bearings on my Electrolux washer?

Electrolux Washers: What We Check First

They are quiet and gentle on clothes, and they share some hardware with Frigidaire's front-loaders. The bearing assembly, tub and some boards are specific to the Electrolux chassis, so ordering by the model and serial number is not optional.

When an Upstairs Washer Leaks or Walks

In the two-story subdivisions toward Northlake and the lake, the washer often sits above a living room or kitchen. A split inlet hose, a cracked pump housing or a front-loader whose door boot has torn can send water through the ceiling before anyone notices. Machines that shake hard during spin can also walk across the floor and stretch their hoses. Braided supply hoses, a drain pan with a drain line and a level washer are the simplest protection. Older ranch homes along the Beatties Ford Road corridor and around Oakdale usually have laundry on the main floor, where drain pumps, lid switches and worn agitators are the more typical problems.
