Can a freezer on a back porch in West Charlotte handle the summer heat?

After a thunderstorm outage, a freezer may take many hours to recover, so give it time before deciding it has failed.

What to Check and Whether to Repair

Put a thermometer inside, check the gasket all the way around and make sure air can move freely around the cabinet. Unplug the freezer before vacuuming any exposed coils.
