Why does one burner on my Amana electric range not work?

The burner, its receptacle or its infinite switch may have failed. Swapping the burner into a working socket can show which. A technician can test the switch and receptacle.

After a storm, our Indian Trail range shows an error and the oven will not heat. Is the board fried?

Possibly, but not always. Reset the breaker once and see whether the error clears. If it returns, we test the control board, relays and sensor to confirm what failed before recommending a part.

Slide-In and Freestanding Ranges in Newer Kitchens
