My Frigidaire gas oven igniter glows but the oven won't light. Why?

A glowing igniter can still be too weak to open the gas valve. As igniters age, their current draw drops below what the valve needs. Replacing the igniter usually solves the problem.

Our oven in Stallings locked after self-clean and will not open. What should we do?

Let it cool completely for a few hours, then try cancelling the cycle. If it is still locked, turn off the breaker for a minute and restore power. A lock that stays engaged after that usually points to a failed latch motor, switch or control, which we can test.

When the Builder-Installed Oven Starts Acting Up
