Why does one burner on my Thor rangetop light and then go out?

Usually the flame is not reaching the reignition sensing point evenly, often because the cap is off center or the ports are clogged. Clean and reseat the burner parts first. If it keeps happening, the electrode or switch needs testing.

One zone of our Marvin induction cooktop stopped working. Is the whole cooktop failing?

Not necessarily. Induction zones are often driven by separate boards or coils, so one zone can fail while the rest work. Check that your pan is magnetic and sits flat. If the zone still will not respond, we can test the board and coil behind it.

Pro-Style Rangetops and Induction Surfaces
