Why does my LG gas stove flame look yellow?

A yellow or uneven flame usually means a misaligned burner cap or clogged burner ports, or sometimes a dirty burner head. Let the stove cool, clean the parts and reseat the cap. If the flame remains yellow or smells unusual, stop using it and have it inspected.

Can you still find parts for the older electric stove in my Mount Pleasant farmhouse?

Often, since coil elements, receptacles and switches are widely available. Some model-specific parts are discontinued, and we will tell you if that is the case before you commit. The price is given before any work.

My propane stove in Midland lights on only two burners. What is wrong?

The other burners may have clogged ports, a damp igniter or a failed spark switch. Clean and dry the caps and try again. If they still will not light, we test the ignition system and quote the fix.

LG Stoves: What We Check First

For most owners, the LG stove means the top of an LG range: a set of sealed gas burners with continuous cast iron grates, or a radiant glass top with front or rear controls. LG gas stoves often include a high-output UltraHeat burner for searing and a small simmer burner, while electric models usually feature a dual or triple element and a warming zone. Because the stove top sees daily heat, spills and cleaning, its parts wear differently from the oven below.

Spark electrode fouled by grease, burner clicking but slow to light
Moisture in spark switch keeping igniters clicking after shutoff
Dual radiant element heating only on the inner ring
Warming zone element or its control failing to heat

The full explanation, including what you can safely check yourself and when repair beats replacement, is in our LG stove repair guide.

Older stoves in rural kitchens

Some rural kitchens around Mount Pleasant have stoves that have been in service a long time, and many of those are straightforward to keep running. Coil elements, receptacles and infinite switches on electric stoves are common, affordable repairs. On propane stoves, worn igniters and burner ports clogged by spills are the usual faults, and a stove that has sat unused can collect dust and insects in the burner tubes.

With the stove off and cool, check that each element is seated firmly and each burner cap sits flat. Confirm the propane tank has fuel. Never adjust regulators or gas lines yourself; if you smell gas, get out and call your supplier or 911.

We test the components, give you the diagnosis and price, and tell you honestly when parts for an older model are no longer available. Midland visits are often easier to schedule; Mount Pleasant appointments may land on route days, and the model number helps us bring the right part.
