Why does my AGA boiling plate lose heat so fast?

The plate draws on stored heat, and if the core temperature is low or the lid is often left open, it recovers slowly. A thermostat or heat source problem may be involved. We check the core temperature and controls.

They draw heat from the same core as the ovens, so they are always warm. Conventional AGA range cookers have gas burners or induction zones that work like other modern cooktops.

Smooth-Top and Gas Cooktops in Newer Floor Plans
