Thermador Dishwashers: What We Check First

They use a cylindrical filter in the base, a drain pump below a small cover, a circulation pump with an integrated flow-through heater, and a leak protection system with a float switch in the base pan. Many models offer StarDry, which uses a mineral called zeolite to help dry dishes, and third-rack cutlery storage.

Installation Details in New Construction

In new construction, a dishwasher that will not drain is sometimes not broken at all. If a garbage disposal was installed or replaced and the knockout plug inside its dishwasher inlet was never removed, the water has nowhere to go. A drain hose kinked behind the unit during installation causes the same symptom, and plenty of Steele Creek homes still have their original installation.
