Not necessarily. Many quiet premium dishwashers dry with less heat and depend heavily on rinse aid. Refill the rinse aid, try the extra-dry option if your model has one, and if dishes are still wet and cold at the end, we test the heater and its controls.

Why are my dishes gritty on well water in Clover?

Sediment in the water is the likely cause. It can clog the filter, the spray arms and the inlet screen. Clean those first, and if the grit continues, consider a sediment filter for the house.
