Why does my Samsung top-loader keep showing an unbalanced load error?

Occasional imbalance is normal with bulky items, but frequent errors on ordinary loads usually point to worn suspension rods that let the tub swing too far. The washer senses that movement and stops to protect itself. Replacing the rods as a set normally ends the problem.

Both rely on load-sensing software that decides how fast to spin based on what the motor feels, so the washer is constantly judging itself.

Well water and slow fills around Clover
