The burners on my Thor dual-fuel range work but the oven won't heat. Why?

The oven runs on electricity, so it can fail independently of the gas cooktop. A partly tripped breaker, a burned-out element or a failed control relay are the most likely causes. Reset the breaker fully, and if the oven stays cold, the elements and board need testing.

Our Peachland range lost the oven and the display at once. Is it the control board?

It may be, especially after a storm, but a blown fuse, a failed power supply or a loose connection can look the same. We test the circuit before recommending a board.

Thor Ranges: What We Check First

Thor's dual-fuel ranges pair gas burners on top with an electric convection oven below, so the range needs both a gas line and a 240-volt circuit. The brand also sells electric and induction ranges in the same pro-style shell. That split matters for diagnosis, because a dual-fuel Thor can have a perfectly healthy cooktop and a dead oven, or the other way around, and the two halves fail for completely different reasons.
