My Miele stove burner lights but then clicks again. Why?

Miele's re-ignition system relights the burner if it detects the flame has gone out. Moisture, food residue or a misaligned cap can trigger repeated clicking. Clean and dry the burner first, then call us if it continues.

The coil burner receptacle on my Kannapolis stove is scorched. Can that be fixed?

Yes. A scorched receptacle is a common repair, and the element plugged into it often needs replacing too. Turn the stove off until we can look at it.

Do you repair stoves in Kannapolis rental houses quickly between tenants?

We schedule as quickly as the calendar allows, and same-day visits are often possible. We can meet a property manager on site and send the diagnosis and price for approval before work.

Miele Stoves: What We Check First

When a Charlotte homeowner calls about a Miele stove, it is usually a pro-style freestanding range in 30, 36 or 48 inches. Miele builds these as all-gas and dual-fuel models with dual-stacked burners that go from a very low simmer to high output, plus an oven with M Touch controls on many versions. The dual-fuel models use an electric oven with convection; all-gas versions use gas burners for baking.

Dual-stacked burner igniters cracking or clicking after spills
Oven temperature sensor drift on M Touch models
Convection fan stopping or grinding during baking
Display or touch controls glitching after power surges

The full explanation, including what you can safely check yourself and when repair beats replacement, is in our Miele stove repair guide.

Coil burners, glass tops and gas

Coil-element stoves remain common in the older homes and rentals around town, and they are among the easiest appliances to keep running. A burner that sparks, heats only on one setting or does not heat at all usually needs a new element, receptacle or switch. Glass-top stoves in newer homes are prone to element and limiter faults, and gas stoves need clean, dry igniters to light.

With the stove off and cool, try moving a non-working coil element to a working position. If it heats there, the element is fine and the receptacle or switch is suspect. On a gas stove, check that caps are seated and the ports are clear. Smell gas? Leave the house and call the gas utility.

We test each component, explain what failed and give the price before replacing parts. For Kannapolis landlords, we keep the repair simple and durable on a rental stove rather than recommend upgrades nobody asked for. Same-day visits are often available on our northeast routes when the schedule allows.
