Electronic Ranges and Frequent Outages

Ranges in the newer homes out this way usually have glass tops, digital controls and often convection ovens. Resetting the Range and Getting It Diagnosed

Turn off the range's breaker for several minutes, then restore it to clear a locked control. Check that the oven door latches fully, since a door sensor can block heating. With a gas range, leave the house and call the gas utility or 911 if you ever notice a gas odor. We test the control board, elements, sensor and fan, explain the cause and give the price.
