Slide-In Ranges and the Case for Repair

In a condo, the opening was built for that exact footprint, and a replacement has to match the width, height and electrical or gas hookup, then ride the elevator up. Newer ranges lean heavily on electronics: touch panels, convection fans and self-clean door locks. A door that stays locked after a self-clean cycle or a panel that goes blank after a storm are typical faults. Switch off the breaker for a few minutes to see whether the control resets before booking.
