Glass Tops and Induction in Condo Kitchens

An element that stays dark, one that heats only on high, or a touch panel that beeps and shuts down often traces to an infinite switch, a relay on the control board, or a cooling fan on an induction model. Before calling, switch the cooktop's breaker off for a few minutes and back on, and make sure the glass is dry and clear of pans when you press the controls. Induction surfaces also need cookware that a magnet sticks to. If the glass is cracked, stop using the cooktop entirely.
