Why does my Thor gas oven smell like gas for a moment when it starts?

A brief, faint smell at ignition can happen as gas reaches the burner, but if it lasts or grows stronger the ignition may be slow and letting gas build up. Turn the oven off. If the smell is strong, leave the house and call your gas utility or 911 from outside, then have the ignition tested.

A burner on the stove in our Wingate rental only works on high. What failed?

Coil Burners, Propane Flames and Rental Stoves

Electric coil stoves remain common in older Monroe homes and Wingate rentals.
