Why does one burner on my Thor rangetop light and then go out?

Usually the flame is not reaching the reignition sensing point evenly, often because the cap is off center or the ports are clogged. Clean and reseat the burner parts first. If it keeps happening, the electrode or switch needs testing.

Our glass cooktop in Monroe has one element that will not heat. Is the glass the problem?

Thor Cooktops: What We Check First

They use sealed burners under continuous cast iron grates, front-mounted knobs, and electronic spark ignition with a reignition feature that relights a burner if the flame goes out. Some rangetops include a griddle with its own burner and thermostat.

Counter-Mounted Cooktops in Remodeled Kitchens
