Only the inner ring of my LG radiant element works. Why?

Dual and triple elements have separate rings controlled by a switch or relay. If only the inner ring heats, the outer ring, its switch or the wiring has likely failed. We test each part and replace only what is needed.

LG Cooktops: What We Check First

LG cooktops come in three main forms: radiant electric glass tops, induction glass tops and sealed-burner gas. The radiant models often include dual and triple elements that switch between ring sizes, while the induction units use coils and power boards that regulate the magnetic field for each zone. Gas models use spark ignition and LG's UltraHeat high-output burners on some versions. Most are controlled by touch panels on the glass or front-mounted knobs.

Counter-Mounted Cooktops in Remodeled Kitchens

Separate cooktops are less common here than in the big subdivisions to the west, but plenty of Monroe kitchens were remodeled with one, and newer homes around town sometimes have them too.
