My Electrolux gas stove's oven igniter glows but there is no flame. Why?

That is a classic sign of a weak igniter. It still glows but doesn't pull enough current to open the oven gas valve. Replacing the igniter usually fixes it, but we test the valve as well to be sure.

A lazy yellow flame often means the burner cap is not seated, the ports are partly blocked or the air mix is off. Turn it off, let it cool, then clean and reseat the cap. If the flame stays yellow or leaves soot on pans, stop using that burner and book a visit.

Burner problems on everyday stoves

Plenty of Fort Mill households call the freestanding cooking appliance a stove, and the complaints that bring us out are usually on top: a gas burner that clicks but will not catch, a flame that burns yellow or lifts off the ports, or an electric element that heats only on high.
