Their dual-stacked burners run two flame rings, so a single burner can deliver a gentle simmer or a high-output sear. Larger models may include a griddle and two ovens, and the main oven on many versions uses M Touch controls with automatic programs and a moisture-assist feature. These ranges are heavy and usually installed against a backsplash with a matching hood, so they are rarely moved.

Two systems in one appliance

A range is a cooktop and an oven sharing one frame, so a dead bake element or a weak oven igniter does not mean the burners are failing too.
