The Vario system lets designers line up separate modules in the counter: gas burners, a high-output wok, induction zones, a Teppan Yaki griddle, an electric grill, a fryer or a steamer, sometimes alongside a downdraft vent module. Each piece has its own controls and electrical supply, and Gaggenau also makes larger single induction and gas cooktops.
