Cooktop Repair in SouthPark and Cotswold

Kitchens toward Foxcroft and Quail Hollow often have gas cooktops set into an island or under a hood, some with sealed burners and some with pro-style grates. The usual trouble is constant clicking after a spill, a burner that will not light or a flame that burns low and uneven. Before checking anything, turn off the breaker that feeds the cooktop. On a gas model, never loosen fittings or touch the supply line behind it. If you smell gas at any point, leave the house right away and call the gas utility or 911 from outside.

On a gas cooktop, let the burner caps dry fully after cleaning and make sure each cap sits flat on its base; misaligned caps cause much of the clicking and weak flame we hear about.
