Admiral Ranges: What We Check First

For a property manager or landlord, an Admiral range is a familiar sight: a 30-inch freestanding unit with four burners, a single oven, a storage drawer and plain knobs. Admiral sold electric coil, electric smooth-top and gas versions, built over the years on Amana, Magic Chef, Maytag and Whirlpool designs. Some later models added a small electronic oven control with a clock and touch pads, while older ones use a mechanical thermostat dial.

Slide-ins, touch controls and storm surges

Slide-in and front-control ranges with touch panels and convection fans are common in the newer kitchens here.
