On a dual-fuel range the oven runs on 240 volts, so check its double breaker first and reset it fully. If power is fine, the bake element, sensor or a relay on the control board is likely. We test those directly rather than guessing.

Dacor Ranges: What We Check First

A Dacor range is two appliances in one frame. On the dual-fuel models that are most common in this area, gas burners sit on top and an electric convection oven sits below, each with its own power and control circuits. Wider professional-style models may add a griddle or a second oven. Because the oven is electric and the top is gas, the range needs both a gas line and a 240-volt circuit, and problems can come from either side.

One appliance, two systems

A range combines a cooktop and an oven, so a fault on one side does not mean the whole unit is done. A gas range with good burners and a weak oven igniter, or an electric range with one bad element and a sound control, is often a reasonable repair.
