That is a classic sign of a weak igniter. It still glows but doesn't pull enough current to open the oven gas valve. Replacing the igniter usually fixes it, but we test the valve as well to be sure.

Coil burners, propane and glass tops

Older electric stoves around Oakboro and Stanfield are usually straightforward repairs: a coil element, a scorched receptacle or a worn infinite switch.
