Most Blomberg freezer service involves the bottom-freezer drawers of Blomberg counter-depth refrigerators rather than a standalone freezer. These drawers glide out on slides, close against a gasket, and are cooled by a frost-free evaporator with its own fan and defrost cycle. Because the drawers are shallow and close to the floor, they are easy to overfill, and an item jammed at the back can hold the drawer slightly open without anyone noticing.

Frost buildup on food or drawer walls usually means moist air is getting in, often through a drawer that is not closing fully or a gasket that has torn. Ice forming on the back wall can point to a defrost system problem. A freezer that is warming may have a failed evaporator fan or an iced coil. Drawers that stick or come off their slides often have broken rollers or misaligned rails, which also keeps them from sealing.

Check that nothing is blocking the drawer from closing fully, and make sure the gasket seals around its full perimeter. Look at the slides for broken parts or debris. Avoid overloading the drawers, since heavy loads can bend the rails over time. In humid summers, keep the drawer closed as much as possible to reduce frost. If the refrigerator was recently moved, check that it is level from side to side, because a counter-depth unit that leans can pull the lower drawer out of square with its gasket.

We inspect the gasket and slides, test the fan and defrost components, and check the control and sensors. We confirm parts availability before quoting, since some Blomberg drawer parts come through specialist channels.

Gaskets, slides, fans and defrost parts are reasonable repairs. A sealed-system issue on an older unit may make replacement more practical, and we will explain the options.
