Electrolux dishwashers sit on a platform closely related to Frigidaire's higher-end models. They use a stainless tub, a filter assembly under the lower spray arm, a circulation pump with an attached heater on many versions, and a separate drain pump. Controls are usually hidden in the top edge of the door, and many models have features like a scrubbing zone at the back of the lower rack or adjustable spray patterns.

Drain problems lead the list. Food debris, broken glass or a cherry pit can block the filter or jam the drain pump impeller, leaving standing water in the tub. Door latch switches can fail so the machine never starts, and hidden top controls sometimes stop responding to presses, especially if moisture has crept into the panel. Poor cleaning is often a clogged filter or a spray arm with plugged holes rather than a failed pump. Where homes in Union or Iredell County are on well water, sediment can also restrict the inlet valve screen and slow filling.

Before you call, turn off the breaker or unplug the unit. Remove and rinse the filter assembly under the lower spray arm, and check that the spray arms spin freely and their holes are clear. Make sure the drain hose has a high loop or air gap and that a newly installed garbage disposal had its knockout plug removed. Run the kitchen faucet hot first so the dishwasher starts with hot water.
