Each one combines a set of ovens, gas or electric or both, with a cooktop built from modules such as gas burners, a French top, a plancha or induction. Colors, trim metals and knob styles are chosen by the buyer. That flexibility is the reason people buy them, and it is also the reason service has to start with the exact build.

Because every Château is different, faults are tied to its particular components. Burners with thermocouple flame-safety devices may not stay lit, igniters and switches wear, and spills can cause clicking. Oven thermostats drift, gas ovens can become hard to light, and electric ovens can lose elements or convection fans.
