About Wolf Stove Repair
Wolf's all-gas freestanding ranges are what most people mean when they ask about a Wolf stove. Above the oven sit dual-stacked sealed burners, each with its own igniter, and many models add an infrared charbroiler or griddle in the center. Below, the oven is heated by a gas bake burner and browned by an infrared broiler at the top of the cavity, with a convection fan to move air. Because everything runs on gas, the stove depends on good ignition in several places at once.
The top-side problems we see on all-gas Wolf stoves are the familiar ones: clicking that won't stop after a pot boils over, a burner that lights on the high ring but not the simmer tier, and a spark module that has given out so nothing lights. Oven problems are more particular to this design. When the oven's ignition weakens, the bake burner lights late or not at all, and the oven creeps to temperature or stalls. An infrared broiler that won't glow, or lights unevenly, usually needs its own igniter or burner attention. Convection fan motors and door hinges also wear.
There are a few safe checks to try. With all knobs off and the stove cool, lift the grates and caps, dry the burner heads and igniter tips, and set the caps back flat. Turn on the oven and listen: clicking or a visible glow without flame is a useful clue to tell us. Do not try to adjust gas valves, orifices or the regulator yourself. A gas smell means getting everyone out, leaving switches alone, and calling the gas utility or 911 once you are outside.
During the visit we test the spark module and each igniter, check burner ports and caps, and measure the oven ignition and gas valve operation. We look at the infrared broiler and any charbroiler or griddle separately, then check convection and hinges. You will know what failed and what the repair costs before we pick up a tool for it.
An all-gas Wolf is built to be serviced for many years. Ignition parts, valves and broiler components are reasonable repairs, and we will point you to Wolf warranty coverage if your stove is still within it.
Where Wolf Stoves Tend to Fail
- Oven bake burner ignition weakening so the oven heats slowly
- Infrared broiler failing to glow or lighting unevenly
- Simmer tier of dual-stacked burners failing to light
- Spark module failure leaving every top burner silent
